SAMULCO 57TH ANNUAL REGULAR GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING

𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗖𝗢'𝘀 𝟱𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆: 𝗔 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 “𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗖𝗢”

The 𝟓𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐌) 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐋𝐂𝐎 was a gathering filled with energy, anticipation, and the unmistakable spirit of cooperation. Held in two parts, the assembly brought together members, employees, and officers in a way that blended tradition with innovation.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟭 took place online on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 via 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲 and 𝗭𝗼𝗼𝗺, while 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮 was held on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗦𝗠𝗫 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴, 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, with both in-person and virtual participation. The hybrid format allowed more members to join, whether METV or Non-METV, ensuring inclusive participation in this important milestone.

Inside the hall, the atmosphere was vibrant and dynamic. Reports were presented, proposals were discussed, and members actively engaged in meaningful dialogue. These moments reflected the essence of cooperative democracy where transparency is upheld, accountability is practiced, and every member’s voice is valued.

The assembly also highlighted 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗖𝗢’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, achieving a 𝗻𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗳 ₱𝟭𝟮𝟭.𝟲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 and reaching 𝘁𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 ₱𝟮.𝟴 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻. These accomplishments demonstrate the cooperative’s continued growth, stability, and commitment to delivering value to its members.

A significant part of the event was the proclamation of the 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, who will guide SAMULCO in the coming term.

The new set of Board of Directors is under the helm of 𝗗𝗶𝗿. 𝗥𝗲𝘆 𝗗. 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗼, 𝗝𝗗, as 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱, with the support of 𝗗𝗶𝗿. 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗥. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗲𝗿 as 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱. Directors Rey D. Labasano, JD and Glenn R. Villacuer retained their post as chairperson and vice chairperson of the Board, respectively.

To further enliven the assembly, engaging activities were prepared to foster camaraderie among participants. Members enjoyed interactive games such as the egg-hunting activity, discovered surprises, and received exclusive cooperative merchandise. Survey participants were rewarded with special prizes, while door prizes ranging from ₱500 to ₱1,000 added excitement throughout the event.

The highlight of the day was the 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗹𝗲, which brought enthusiasm and celebration as winners received generous prizes:

This initiative symbolized SAMULCO’s commitment to sharing its success with its members.

Beyond the festivities, the true essence of the assembly was evident. Differences in opinion were met with respect and constructive discussion, and decisions were guided by the collective welfare of the membership. Participants left with renewed pride and confidence, knowing they are part of a cooperative that continues to grow through unity and shared purpose.

The 57th ARGAM was more than just a meeting. It was a celebration of belonging, a reaffirmation of cooperative principles, and a testament that SAMULCO thrives because of its people.
